iGPS:
iGPS is an in-building navigation device for data collection in areas where location information is not available due to lack of GPS signal. This newly developed solution is based on dead reckoning principals and uses hardware and software to track the user’s position relative to an initialization point.
The DRM unit uses four mechanisms to track the user: a pedometer, a compass, gyros to compensate magnetic disturbances, and a barometric altimeter.
This solution supports CDMA/EVDO, GSM/UMTS/HSPA, and WiMAX technologies.
This product is currently under final development and testing. Commericial release is scheduled for the end of Q4, 2008.
